BIO

Claire Dunn is a San Francisco-based artist, psychologist and a traveler. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she received her BFA in psychology at Universidad del Salvador (USAL). She is currently studying an MFA (Fine arts) at California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco. Her artwork  has been exhibited in Argentina and in USA.

She is interested in the relationship between the human psyche, multi-disciplinary art and nature. She creates paintings, installations and sculptures that brings us back to the connection to ourselves, nature and the mystical realm, For Dunn, an artistic expression is a vehicle to connect with our essence and also to different realms of reality. It helps us understand, process and create our world. Her practice is deeply nurtured by spiritualism and her adventures in nature. She has traveled around the world by herself, with her tent and her backpack, which has opened new doors of perception.

Every work that she does is a journey, and an opening to see other worlds. Through her art, she seeks to explore the dynamics between spiritualizing matter and materializing the spiritual. Everything happens in the process. The final work is just a result of an experience.
