PAINTINGS 2019 - 2021

A union between Heaven and Earth.

These works carry the traces of multiple “rain sessions.” Each layer of paint was applied outdoors during the rain—sometimes on grass, sometimes on stone, following its natural contours—in the Sierras of Córdoba and in Buenos Aires. After each session, the artist left the pieces exposed to the elements for several days. Rain, sunlight, shifting moon phases, starlight, and wind interacted with the surface, generating a kind of natural chemistry—an alchemy guided by the sky. Metaphorically, the heavens inscribed their presence onto the earth through the canvas.
Each rainy day brought a different rhythm and intensity. The weight and impact of the raindrops left visible impressions, as if the rain itself had performed a fleeting choreography across the surface. The artist often painted while moving around the canvases, her body responding to the rain, feeling its touch on her skin. She considers the canvas an extension of her own body—an exposed surface in direct conversation with the surrounding environment. This work becomes not just a painting, but a record of elemental collaboration between body, earth, and sky.
